One day, after my father passed away, I realised I could sense a strong energy emanating from my hands. I found it difficult to use touchscreens because the device reacted when my finger was close before I even touched it, leading me to unintentionally press the wrong buttons. I was grateful for the confirmation step in all my internet purchases.
Following this incident, I felt an increasing buildup of energy inside of me, and I sensed a need to release it. I began warming my cats with my hands without physically touching them. As I placed my hands above one of my cats, she back started twitching. When I withdrew my hands, the twitching ceased. I repeated the same process with my other cat, and the same response occurred. My cats seemed to sense the energy from my hands, sparking my curiosity and leading me to discover Reiki. After extensive research, I felt compelled to learn how Reiki exists in society and how people are using it. Consequently, I enrolled in courses for Western Reiki levels 1, 2, and 3 (master courses), as well as graduating from traditional authentic Japanese Jikiden Reiki Shoden & Okuden (equivalent to levels 1 & 2 in Western Reiki).
When I took the courses, I found that I already knew most of what the teachers were saying. This was because I was brought up in an environment similar to that in which the Reiki founder, Mikao Usui, lived his life. "The Reiki Principle" written by Usui was almost identical to my family's education and discipline. My paternal grandparents lived in a Shinto shrine, and my maternal grandmother came from a distinguished Buddhist temple that was designated as a national treasure. These two ideologies are used in Usui's Reiki. Usui doesn't mean Reiki is a religion; these thoughts were useful for him in teaching Reiki to Japanese people. Additionally, I learned from various books and researched in Japanese before attending the course.
I was a translator and interpreter for major pharmaceutical companies such as Pfizer, AstraZeneca, GSK, Novartis, Roche, Otsuka, and the NHS. I also provided interpretation at international conferences such as the International Asthma Conference in Paris and the International Labour Conference for Japanese Health Work and Welfare in Geneva. These experiences have equipped me with extensive medical knowledge about diseases, symptoms, treatments, and episodes, as well as insights into NHS treatments and hospital information in London.
I always inquire about my clients' symptoms to understand how they affect their lives and what kind of treatment they might be undergoing, as I recognise this information is crucial for Reiki treatment. Understanding potential side effects might be the reason you feel the conditions. This enables me to apply my hands in the most effective way for the client's symptoms. My Reiki treatment is based on medical knowledge, making it potentially more effective.
Some healers develop Reiki within themselves without attunement from a teacher, though there are not many. I am one of them. My Reiki energy is strong according to people who have experienced Reiki with other healers.
My courses are based on traditional Japanese Reiki from Usui, allowing you to learn the original methods and philosophy before Reiki was introduced to the U.S. Through attunement, you will inherit my strong Reiki power. I've noticed that most of my students begin releasing powerful Reiki, though individual experiences may vary. My course teaches you how to train yourself in the traditional way and use Reiki effectively at all levels.
While waiting for NHS or GP appointments, Reiki can help you moderate the symptoms of illness. Another fantastic aspect of Reiki is its ability to be sent remotely, allowing you to share healing energy with someone far away, which they can still feel. I recommend everyone learn Reiki—not only because it’s an incredible treatment, but also because it helps you manage your own well-being and enhance the wellness of those around you.
